Young Eagles Day at Merritt Island Airport (KCOI) is scheduled for Saturday, April 24th, 2010. The Pilot's briefing will be at 8 am. We will register Young Eagles between 8:30 and noon. We will fly all who are registered, weather permitting.

To the pilots - please have your fuel tanks topped off before your first Eagle flight. When you are done flying, you will be given a card to give to the driver of the fuel truck.  You will be charged $2 per gallon for the fuel you used.

All volunteers - lunch from Wendy's will be provided.

If you are planning on participating in this 2010 EAA Young Eagle Day, please contact Bobbi Lasher.

The Young Eagles flights in previous years were piloted by Dr. Bob Lehton, Dick Todd and Dick Blondin using Servant Air's Cessna 172. Dick Todd flew 30 young eagles, Dick Blondin 21, followed by Dr. Bob Lehton taking to the skies with 9 youngsters. Dedicated SAMI and EAA pilots stayed over 2 hours after the official event end time to ensure eager youngsters got to see Florida's Space Coast from the air. We are looking forward to having another successful year in 2010.
